Your videos are really wonderful and so helpful. I love how you explain design, color balance, etc. I think about a different element in every one of my paintings, after seeing your painting critique.
Hi Judi,
I am happy to hear that you have found this helpful and that you are applying this when you are thinking about your own paintings. That makes my day!
Let me know if you would ever like me to do a painting critique for you.
Thanks!
I am really liking the M Graham Cerulean Blue. Out of all the colors, I have noticed the most variety in Cerulean Blue from brand to brand. I use either Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton or M Graham in Cerulean. It is one of the paints that can dry out quickly, so don’t put too much in your palette at a time so that you can squeeze out fresh paint more often. It is opaque and it is not very vibrant. That is why most people stay away from it. But it makes beautiful neutrals and separates out as it dries to give interesting passages. There is yet another idea for a demo!
Really helpful, thanks for taking the time to make and post.
Thank you Tami!

Vinita, what is your favorite brand of Cerulean Blue? It seems to be an opaque and not very vibrant color.

My comment about the opaque not very vibrant Cerulean Blue was referring to what I am currently using. Sorry for the typo!
